The CAMELS Multifield Data Set: Learning the Universe’s Fundamental Parameters with Artificial Intelligence

We present the Cosmology and Astrophysics with MachinE Learning Simulations (CAMELS) Multifield Dataset, CMD, a collection of hundreds thousands 2D maps 3D grids containing many different properties cosmic gas, dark matter, stars from 2,000 distinct simulated universes at several times. The represent regions that span $\sim$100 million light years have been generated state-of-the-art hydrodynamic gravity-only N-body simulations CAMELS project. Designed to train machine learning models, CMD is largest dataset its kind more than 70 Terabytes data.
